We’re buzzing to announce our latest venue partner—The Independent in Sunderland! From this week onward, Setmixer will be capturing the raw, electric energy of live sets right from one of the North East’s most iconic grassroots venues.

For those who don’t know (yet), The Independent is the place to catch the next big thing before they blow up. Since 2005, they’ve been a launchpad for legendary acts like The 1975, Arctic Monkeys, and Sam Fender. Situated in the heart of Sunderland, this two-floor venue is steeped in music history and buzzing with new talent every week.

Whether you're moshing in the basement or vibing out upstairs, The Independent knows how to throw a proper gig. Their calendar is packed with everything from indie anthems and punk chaos to soul, funk, and electronic gems. And now, with Setmixer in the mix, you’ll be able to relive those unforgettable nights with crisp, multi-track recordings.
